Hakim and Latifa fled the Algerian civil war in the early 1990s. Since then, they have been living in the Jura, with their two daughters: Nedjma, 14 years old, and Leïla, the eldest, who left to study hairdressing in Paris.

Three days before Christmas, Nedjma receives a short text message from her big sister. She will not be able to come to join them for the festivities, justifying herself with, once again, an overload of work... Latifa turns to Hakim and pushes him to go fetch Leïla. Nedjma will come with him, and they will take advantage of the opportunity to discover Paris.

When they arrive at the salon, they learn that Leila has never actually worked there. A father's journey begins one night in Paris until dawn.
